Your diet.Eat your meals slowly, put your cutlery down between mouth fulls if you have to. This way, you know when you have had enough to eat.
Eat till you are satisfied, not until you are full. What I mean is, eat till you are no longer hungry. Many people - many overweight people - assume that they are finished when they 'can't eat another bite'. If you ever feel full up, then you have over eaten.
Don't put extra salt, ketchup, mayonnaise, butter, or anything similar on your food. In fact, avoid it all together. Imagine that your body is one of those charity boxes - everyone puts a little bit of money inside and it's not really that much - until you add it up!
Do NOT snack between meals. It's all about discipline. If you feel hungry, find something else to do to occupy you until your next meal. If you must snack, eat something light and healthy such as a handful of grapes or a small orange.
Power walking is quite a good exercise. It's basically just fast walking, and is really easy to do on a treadmill. Start walking on your treadmill, and slowly notch up the speed. The aim is to go as fast as you can without running or jogging. It burns a lot of calories, and is a lot easier than pushing yourself with strenuous exercises. Get your ipod or put on the TV, and start walking. Do it for 15-30 minutes every day - maybe more than once.
Losing weight is a lengthy process - but if you stick to a routine, then the weight will drop off you.
Good luck =]
